Projects

As a member of Emeryville 4-H, your child will join one or more projects per year.  All projects have a “learn by doing” focus and they all have different schedules.  Fall/Winter/year-long projects are announced at our club meeting in September and sign-ups are taken after the meeting via a shared GoogleSheet.  Spring projects are announced at the January meeting and sign-ups are taken after that meeting via the same shared GoogleSheet.

Just about any interest can be turned into a project. Projects are led by adult volunteers and sometimes teen leaders. Through projects, kids can explore their interests, try new things and practice skills.  A 4-H project needs to have a minimum of 6 hours of instruction.  There must be at least 3 kids from 2 different families, and at least 2 Certified Volunteer adults must be present at each meeting. Certified Volunteers have completed the California 4-H required online training and LiveScan screening.  For information on how to become a Certified Volunteer, email admin@emeryville4h.club.
