Projects

As a member of Emeryville 4-H, your child will join one or more projects per year.  All projects have a “learn by doing” focus and they all have different schedules.  Most projects are announced at our club meeting in September and sign-ups are taken after the meeting via a shared GoogleSheet.  Spring projects are announced at the January meeting and again, sign-ups are taken after that meeting.

Just about any interest can be turned into a project. Projects are led by adult volunteers and sometimes teen leaders. They have measurable objectives and usually involve some kind of record-keeping.  A 4-H project needs to have a minimum of 6 hours of instruction.  There must be at least 3 kids from 2 different families, and 2 adults must be present at each meeting, both of whom ideally must have completed the “Beginning 4-H for Volunteers” training and be certified by the county.

Feel free to check out our Current Projects and also our past projects via the drop-down menu under the Projects tab in the menu bar.
